William S. Kalinowski

William S. Kalinowski, CPA, joined Burzenski & Company in 1994, upon graduation from the University of New Haven. A Summa Cum Laude graduate, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in financial accounting.

In his current position as a manager with the firm, Bill concentrates his efforts on the accounting, audit, attestation, and planning areas. He regularly prepares and audits financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Bill specializes in the areas of not-for-profit organizations and municipal engagements, fulfilling a supervisory role, including compliance with “Yellow Book” and A-133 requirements. His experience with governmental entities encompasses supervising elements of Federal and State Single Audits.

With a strong background in financial accounting, he provides a keen ability to evaluate clients’ internal control systems relative to transaction risk. Instrumental in executing accounting and audit functions, he also serves as a reviewer of financial statements for clients in numerous industries. Highly knowledgeable of compliance laws and regulations, he is able to consistently ensure appropriate transactions and findings. Bill’s experience provides him with the resources to evaluate systems, identify weaknesses, and provide recommendations to clients to strengthen their internal controls and operating procedures, as well as increase their business efficiencies.
