John R. Burzenski, CPA CFP

John R. Burzenski, CPA, began his public accounting career in 1965 with Ernst & Young and as a partner in a local firm. In 1983, he formed Burzenski & Company, P.C. where he functions as the firm’s president and managing officer.

John works closely with business owners compiling financial information, while offering valuable assistance to clients by providing a variety of services, including:

• Reviews of operations, together with measurements against industry standards
• Technology consulting related to industry-specific software
• Interpretation of computer-generated data
• Consulting for business transition, including buy/sell agreements
• Preparation of business plans
• Presentations to lenders to assist with building expansions or equipment purchases

Equally knowledgeable and proficient in the area of human resources, John assists clients with managerial and planning functions, including selection of staff, outplacements and staff reorganizations. In addition, he is skilled in assisting clients with their individual and business planning needs.

John’s efforts in the area of investment and financial planning are beneficial to clients in managing the accumulation and preservation of wealth throughout various financial cycles during their lives. He has obtained his Series 7, 24, and 66 licensing, as well as his life, health, and variable annuity insurance licensing.

His background and experience have enabled him to serve as treasurer and member of the board of directors and the finance committee of the Easter Seal/Goodwill Rehabilitation Center. John is also a member of the Walter Camp Football Foundation, Inc. and the United Way of Greater New Haven, Inc. In addition, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the CSCPA.
