Ralph L. Ricciardelli, CPA

Ralph L. Ricciardelli, CPA, began his public accounting career in 1975 with a local Certified Public Accounting firm, where he was promoted to tax manager.

In 1983, Ralph helped to establish Burzenski & Company together with its president. For more than twenty years, he has been instrumental in shaping and managing the firm. In his current position as principal, Ralph oversees the personnel/human resources for the firm and assists clients in their needs for personnel. Ralph continues to be active in various local business and civic organizations including the Chamber of Commerce and currently as a member of the Board of Tax Assessment Review of the Town of North Haven.

Ralph, as director of construction services, has developed an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and spearheads the firm’s accounting and financial planning efforts in this area. He works closely with contractors and real estate professionals to compile financial information, while also offering valuable assistance to client managers by providing a diverse range of services, including:

• Reviews of operations, together with measurements against industry standards
• Technology consulting related to industry-specific software
• Cost segregation studies to accelerate depreciation
• Completion of buy/sell agreements
• Preparation of business plans
• Presentations to lenders to assist with building expansions or equipment purchases
• Job-costing and bonding analysis

As a popular speaker at numerous seminars, Ralph has lectured on topics, such as financial planning, how to read financial statements, and various tax reform acts. His presentations on tax topics have emphasized “Business and Individual Taxes”, “Developing Business Plans”, and “Subchapter S Corporations”. He has also authored several articles related to taxes and the construction industry.

Ralph is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), and the Independent Electrical Contractors of New England (IEC). He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA).
